McConnell urges Schumer not to ignore Mayorkas impeachment: 'Beneath the Senate's dignity'
House Republicans formally sent the articles of impeachment against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to the Senate on Tuesday afternoon.
Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell urged Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Tuesday not to hold a vote to table the articles of impeachment against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas after they are received by the Democratic-led Senate.
House Republicans formally sent the articles of impeachment against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to the Senate on Tuesday afternoon where a trial could take place.
"Never before has the Senate agreed to a motion to table articles of impeachment," McConnell said on the Senate floor.
"It would be beneath the Senate's dignity to shrug off our clear responsibility," he added.
McConnell said he would "strenuously oppose any effort to table the articles of impeachment."
Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, said Schumer is "still planning" to table the Mayorkas impeachment articles.

It is a pleasure to greet you and wish you success in your daily activities. By higher instructions, I am writing to request, if you consider it appropriate, your immediate attention to a serious situation affecting the Republic of Guatemala. As the Public Ministry, we have received a complaint as a criminal report about a very important and sensitive issue: Our beloved children.
As you know, deficiencies in security and diplomacy related to the border between the United States and Mexico have resulted in a significant increase in drug trafficking, but also a devastating emergence of human trafficking. In relation to the new complaint that has been filed with this institution, a horrifying pattern of disappearance of children from Guatemala has been brought to our attention, and it has been reported to the Public Ministry that a complex network involving Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) operating within Guatemala, who collaborate with specific entities in the State of Texas, are implicated in the abuse of Guatemalan children when they are away from their parents and do not have someone to protect them.
These Guatemalan children have reportedly been placed in shelters and organizations throughout Texas under the guise of providing them with a family environment. Disturbingly, there have been reports and documented situations of sexual abuse in these shelters, which is a huge violation of the rights and dignity of these children.
The State of Texas bears much of the responsibility for these lost children, who have been transferred to the border and processed migratorily in Texas apparently fully aware of this situation.
Among the non-governmental organizations operating in Guatemala and the State of Texas that may be involved in child trafficking operations, the involvement of "Save the Children," "Changing the Way We Care," the World Childhood Foundation, Arise, and La Unión del Pueblo Entero is concerning. What could be particularly alarming about these organizations is that some of them receive federal funds from American taxpayers. I have been informed that other non-governmental organizations operating in Guatemala and Texas could be accomplices to child trafficking, possibly supporting this trafficking and other issues with unaccompanied children and adolescents traveling, but they have proven unsuccessful in protecting children in Guatemala.
The Public Ministry, obligated to protect the human rights and interests of the inhabitants of the Republic of Guatemala, will spare no effort and exhaust all necessary efforts to locate and criminally prosecute those responsible for this enormous tragedy. Be assured that the Attorney General and Chief of the Public Ministry of the Republic of Guatemala will zealously execute her legal mandate to eradicate this epidemic of child trafficking and to hold those who commit these crimes against humanity accountable.
I respectfully request that you contact us as soon as possible to agree on joint efforts aimed at resolving this humanitarian crisis for which your country is directly responsible in part.

Theory: Young People Aren't Lazy, They're Autistic 🤔💭 Theory 😲💡
Gen-Z is a weird generation in the scheme of things. We date far less than any previous generation. Something like 50% of men between the ages of 18 and 25 say they've never had sex or been in a relationship before. The rates for workforce participation have also been steadily decreasing every year as young people decide to abandon the workforce and stop looking for work in general. Zoomers are falling behind on every major milestone from getting their drivers license to having their first kiss.
We've also seen a major increase in things like anxiety, PTSD, BPD, Bipolar etc. It's a stereotype that zoomers lack resilience and get burned out easily. Normal things seem to negatively impact them in ways that make life difficult to live.
I'm a zoomer. I know a bunch of zoomers. Many of us are finding ourselves unable to cope with adult life. It impacts both men and women in large numbers.
Hot take: Zoomers aren't just being lazy assholes, they actually have some form of autism. Idk if it's from the vaccines or the food or something else but there's definitely a very different psychological form emerging with each generation that hasn't existed with these numbers in the past. Young people genuinely have a much lower threshold for pain and exhaustion and need a lot of time to recharge after doing anything social or productive. They're afraid of the world and generally feel unequipped. This isn't everyone, but it's a big enough percentage to seriously impact society.
I think they will ultimately have a lot of influence. Society can't function when as much as half of the population isn't cut out for it. We're already seeing institutions change with safe spaces and stuff like that. I think society is slowly adapting to the reality that a huge percentage of our population now has neurodivergent traits. The world will look very different when they outnumber more adaptive types.

Shannon Grove to make the buying of children for sex a prison felony, and hijacked her bill forcing hostile amendments by denying Grove’s efforts to protect 16 and 17-year-old children from being purchased as part of commercial sex trafficking. Under the amended bill now solicitation of 16 and 17 year-olds will remain a misdemeanor, punishable by as little as 2 days in jail or up to a $10,000 fine. Grove’s bill would make solicitation, attempting to engage or engaging in sex with a minor for money a felony with a prison sentence ranging from 2 to 4 years, a fine not exceeding $25,000, and registration as a sex offender. The bill would punish all those who solicit from a child, regardless of whether or not the person knew or reasonably should have known that the person solicited was a minor.

A new study from Consumer Reports revealed that popular kids’ food Lunchables contains concerning amounts of lead in its pre-packaged meals.
Consumer Reports tested 12 Lunchable products in a study and discovered that five contained over 50% more lead than California’s legal amount.
Consumer Reports (CR), a consumer advocacy group, said it tested 12 store-bought versions of Lunchables — which are made by Kraft Heinz — along with similar lunch and snack kits and found “relatively high levels of lead and cadmium” in the Lunchables kits.
Parents have been using Lunchables for decades for quick lunches, but the Consumer Report’s latest revelation might make parents reconsider their decision to feed their children the prepackaged lunch that usually consists of deli meat, cheese, and crackers.
Unusual theory: They are scared of Ivermectin because it is a cure for homosexuality
This one is in left field, and I don't mean to be offensive toward anyone even though I know talking about cures for homosexuality ventures into a sensitive area.
First the motive. It is clear to anyone with eyes that there has been a powerful and organized push to increase acceptance of homosexuality, for better or worse, and efforts to encourage experimentation with that lifestyle among the young. This is not meant to be stated as an attack, but simply to establish that such a group exists of people who are interested in growing that community rather than having it shrink, and they do act on it, and do have sway among the powerful. So that is means to act, and a group capable of acting.
Next the less obvious and more theoretical part, Ivermectin and homosexuality. Evolutionary theory doesn't provide many sturdy explanations for homosexuality. Psychologists attempt to explain it by claiming that there being some number of homosexuals in a population is beneficial to that population and thus there is a group selection advantage. That's pretty shaky and not actually supported by data to suggest that a group is significantly advantaged by the presence of a homosexual sub-group.
An alternate theory. Parasites. Take for example toxoplasma Gondii. When it infects rodents it alters their behavior to make them more likely to be eaten by cats, where toxoplasma Gondii can then reproduce.
The basis for modification of human behavior is there as well as humans who are infected with t. Gondii from their cat are shown to be more accepting of cat urine. Other studies have shown increased likelihood of developing mental illness such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. This may be a by-product of changes to the human brain.
Back to homosexuality. According to the National Institute of Health 70% of homosexual men are infected with intestinal parasites, compared to a 10% baseline for non-homosexual men. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/7437971 Without a viable vector of transmission the parasite dies. An advantage exists to any parasite that can successfully adapt human behavior to an end that allows for its spread.
Back to Ivermectin. Ivermectin is one of the most effective parasite removing drugs available. Could it be that within the homosexual population that curiosity has caused some to research the topic of "cures for homosexuality" simply to understand historic and social trends of abusive solutions attempted in the past, such as electro-shock therapy (how Mike Pence got the nickname electric fence pence), a reasonable thing for gay people to research, and in that research and criticism of "cures for homosexuality" discovered one that works. This then spread to whatever sub-cliche of homosexuals who are able to produce social leverage among the powerful. And it was decided that mass use of Ivermectin is definitely not in their interests, their past behavior showing that it is their interest to expand their lifestyle rather than shrink it.
Experimentation with children and adults with unsafe hormones and drugs, research is biased and goes against safe medical practice:
The head of the world’s largest review into children’s care has said that gender medicine is “built on shaky foundations”... while doctors tended to be cautious in implementing new findings in emerging areas of medicine, “quite the reverse happened in the field of gender care for children”.
