Waltzing on the Precipice

If the Democratic Party is allowed to do this, allowed to crush the presidential front-runner, the main threat to their power, with a bogus criminal case, where does that leave us? We’re done because that precedent will live forever and voters will never again determine the outcome of a presidential election. It’s remarkable when you think about it. After all the yelling from permanent Washington about January 6 and how it was a threat to our democratic norms and the peaceful transfer of power, they’ve decided to completely short circuit our democratic norms, not to mention the peaceful transfer of power using the courts and prosecutors.
What happens if they get away with this? No one seems to be thinking this through. Everyone’s all spun up, but what happens if they get away with this?
If they use the Justice Department in full view of everyone to settle a political score and to keep the White House just to take a guy out of the race who seems to be doing fairly well. We’ll destroy the justice system and that’s not a small thing. A functioning justice system has kept this country peaceful for hundreds of years.
The purpose of a justice system is to administer justice so that citizens don’t have to do it themselves. You outsource that duty to the government. But what happens when you take that away, when there is no justice system?
If Trump is arrested, he will be re-elected as President of the United States with a landslide victory - Elon Musk
BREAKING: According to a lawyer for Donald Trump, if he is charged, the former president will willingly turn himself in to the Manhattan district atty's office. "We will follow normal protocol if it gets to that point," Joe Tacopina said “There won't be a showdown at Mar-a-Lago”
Kari Lake responded to Trump’s possible arrest, saying, “You have a voice. USE IT. And make it very clear that we stand with President Donald J. Trump, and all Americans who are under attack by the corrupt political machine.”
“The President has called for peaceful protests. And I would remind his critics that the First Amendment of the United States Constitution grants us the right to peaceably assemble. We cannot allow ourselves to live in such fear of the left’s infiltration that we surrender our God-given rights without them even asking,” said Lake in her new statement.
From Sidney Powell:
Fake News and social media have been lit up all weekend by the prospect of President Trump being arrested.
We urge calm if this should happen. We also suggest that you do not participate in any protests. Be careful what you say on Twitter and Facebook.
The so-called Justice Department is still hunting down people who attended the January 6 rally, three years later. We do not want any more people to be trapped by this miscarriage of justice.
Seek out and share all the information you can. Stay peaceful. You may want to contact your U.S. Senate and House representatives to voice to them your opinion. And, of course, pray for our country.

Republicans in 1860 Did Not Cower from Political Violence – Here Is What the Courageous “Wide Awakes” Did to Protect Republicans from Democrat Violence
The members escorted Republican speakers, surrounding them and protecting them from the violence of the slave supporters and Democrats. In many cases, rowdies ambushed Wide Awake parades, hurling bricks and screaming, “Kill the damn Wide Awakes.” This is similar to the tactics of the American left today with their Antifa and BLM shock troops with the support of the intelligence agencies.
Oscar Lawrence Jackson, a twenty-year-old who lectured to open-air audiences in rural Ohio, recorded an incident in which drunken Democrats tried to shout down his speech. “It came near taking a serious turn,” Jackson wrote, “as the ‘Wide Awakes’ were prepared and would have shot and sliced them like dogs if any one of us had been struck.”

Desantis doesn’t seem to be an off the cuff speaker. Likes teleprompters and pre-written speeches. Probably ran the speech through 8 different PR firms to get the most neutral sounding on the fence one he could. He makes it a point of saying "Porn star hush payments"...TWICE! He is NOT MAGA! permalink save report block reply
Wishy washy answer, trying to play it both ways.

Emerald Observation: Some Conservatives were Protected...
The Biden regime has told you who their real enemies happen to be — as well as which “conservatives” posed no threat to them at all.
For example, nobody at Fox News was ever banned on Twitter — with the notable exception of Dan Bongino — during the last few years. That’s an extraordinary fact when you think about it. (There really might be government perks for calling Arizona early for Joe Biden in 2020.) The New York Post was banned in late 2020 for the Hunter Biden laptop story (bravo!) but, otherwise, Murdoch-affiliated properties and journalists seemed to get a hall pass. The Biden regime’s “censorship-industrial complex” did not suspend the entire right-wing media landscape — it selectively banned the most conservative people on Twitter in order to forcibly steer public opinion to the moderates and the controlled opposition. Our corrupt intel agencies don’t care if you call yourself a “conservative” — so long as you got vaccinated and hate Putin and think the electronic voting machines work just fine. Empty political designations like “GOP voter” are meaningless if you can be programmed to modify your behavior on demand by the ruling class through social pressure campaigns launched by their media allies.
