In Virginia, Republicans are in the majority in the House of Delegates, where a subcommittee voted 5-3 to table H.R. 2491, dubbed the Repeal Act. All Republicans on the committee voted to table — and essentially kill — the effort to legalize full-term abortions, while all the Democrats on the committee opted to support the pro-abortion bill’s enactment.

The Man Who Violently Attacked Senator Rand Paul Has Been Ordered To Pay Him A Large Settlement

The man who violently attacked Senator Rand Paul while he was mowing his lawn in Kentucky, leaving him severely injured, has been ordered by a jury to pay $580,000 in damages. Paul filed a lawsuit against Rene Boucher after suffering a number of broken ribs and long term damage to his body in 2017.
"A Kentucky jury on Wednesday awarded $375,000 in punitive damages and $200,000 for pain and suffering, plus $7,834 for medical expenses," the Associated Press reported Wednesday. "Paul said afterward that he hopes the jury's verdict sends a "clear message that violence is not the answer."

Bill Nye “the Science Guy” has another global warming prediction — Americans will have to grow their food in Canada if nothing is done to limit temperature rise.
“The agriculture in North America is going to have to move north into what would nominally be Canada and we don’t have the infrastructure,” Nye told MSNBC host Chris Matthews Tuesday night.
“We don’t have the railroads and roads to get food from that area to where we need it around the world,” Nye warned.
Nye made his remarks as freezing temperatures descended over much of Canada and the U.S., bringing below-zero temperatures across the Midwest and Great Plains. In 2013, Huawei tried to sell telecom equipment made by Hewlett-Packard to Iran in defiance of sanctions. And, until a few weeks ago, the parent company of Huawei’s Iranian business partner was partly owned by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which is playing the key role in Iran’s nuclear program.

PG&E Declares Bankruptcy:
Pacific Gas & Electric, which is being investigated for its role in a wildfire that killed dozens in California last year, announced Tuesday it's filed for bankruptcy.
The largest utility in the United States said it will request to continue paying workers and maintain customer programs in the bankruptcy process, which could take years. In a Jan. 13 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, PG&E said bankruptcy will allow it to service customers, resolve past wildfire liabilities, continue restoration efforts, support ongoing operations and take safety measures to mitigate future fire risk.
Because the utility giant is a regulated monopoly that provides an essential public service, the California Public Utilities Commission will have to sign off on any reorganization plan that's connected to rate increases, the Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday.

Bank off England Refuses to Give Maduro Venezuela’s Gold
In early November 2018, it first came to light that the Bank of England in London was delaying and blocking the withdrawal of 14 tonnes of gold owned by the Venezuelan central bank, Banco Central de Venezuela (BCV). At the time, Reuters and The Times of London both reported that according to unnamed British ‘public officials’, the delays were being caused by the difficulty and cost of obtaining insurance for the gold shipment back to Venezuela, and also due to “standard measures to prevent money-laundering“.
“The Bank of England’s decision to deny Maduro officials’ withdrawal request comes after top U.S. officials, including Secretary of StateMichael Pompeo and National Security Adviser John Bolton, lobbied their U.K. counterparts to help cut off the regime from its overseas assets, according to one of the people, who asked not to be identified.”

This was the month in which the BCV paid Citibank $172 million to recover gold bars at the Bank of England that the BCV had put up as collateral in a gold swap operation with Citibank. All of the many problems are being discussed and will be hopefully resolved. Tariffs on China increase to 25% on March 1st, so all working hard to complete by that date!

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) sent a letter Wednesday to Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats urging that he, CIA Director Gina Haspel and FBI Director Christopher Wray “stage an intervention” with President Donald Trump following Trump’s suggesting earlier in the day that his intel advisers “go back to school”.
Two years ago, Schumer warned then President-Elect Trump against standing up to the intel community, saying, “Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.”

Fake University In Michigan Set Up By ICE To Nab Illegal Foreign Students
The Department of Homeland Security set up a fake Detroit-area university to target foreign students who wanted to stay in the U.S. without proper authorization in a “pay to play” scheme, according to reports.
Eight people were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit visa fraud and harboring undocumented immigrants for profit, Matthew Schneider, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, told the Detroit Free Press. Six were arrested in Detroit, one in Florida and other in Virginia.
The fake institution, dubbed the University of Farmington, had been operated by Homeland Security in Farmington Hills since 2015 and had a website touting its "dynamic business administration and STEM curriculum." The school had no faculty or classes and no curriculum.

Eugene, Washington –-(Ammoland.com)- Charles Landeros, 30, was fatally shot in the head by officer Steve Timm at the middle school of his daughter. At the time of the shooting, the leader of the Antifa militant group “Red Arm” and founder of “Community Armed Self-Defense” was at the middle school resisting arrest. Landeros at the time was involved in a custody dispute with his former wife. He was wearing a “smash the patriarchy” shirt at the time of the shooting.
Landeros was not only a leader in the Far-left militant group out of Eugene, Oregon, but he also was the chief firearms instructor for the organizations. The stated mission of the group is to, “defend the oppressed.” Landeros, who identified by non-gender specific pronouns, had a goal to teach and form an armed group to protect members of the LGBTQ+ communities, as well as communities of various cultural backgrounds considered “oppressed”.
