Senate Democrats just voted against legislation to prevent the killing of newborn infant children. The Democrat position on abortion is now so extreme that they don’t mind executing babies AFTER birth........This will be remembered as one of the most shocking votes in the history of Congress. The White House press corps was kicked out of its filing center in Hanoi, site of the two-day summit between President Trump and Kim Jong Un, when the North Korean leader’s security detail realized on Tuesday they were sharing the same hotel.
“KJU’s security flipped out,” tweeted Bloomberg White House correspondent Jennifer Jacobs, taking in the dramatic scene prior to Kim’s appearance at the Meliá Hanoi.
Kim arrived in Vietnam by train hours ahead of Trump, who landed after a journey that took 20 hours and 20 minutes aboard Air Force One.
“North Koreans yelling, demanding journalists in lobby not take pictures or even look at the scene,” Jacobs said.

Earlier this month Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell made a deal with Republican President Trump.
McConnell promised to support the President’s emergency declaration on the southern border if President Trump would sign another bloated spending bill that included little to no money for a border barrier.
The US House voted on Tuesday 245-152 to block President Trump’s national emergency declaration at the US southern border.

By a vote of 53-44, the Senate has failed to pass the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would have required doctors to provide medical care to infants born alive after an attempted abortion procedure. The bill — sponsored by Senator Ben Sasse (R., Neb.) and cosponsored by 49 of his fellow Republican senators — needed 60 votes to overcome the legislative filibuster.
Just three Democratic senators crossed the aisle to vote with Republicans in favor of the legislation: Bob Casey Jr. (Pa.), Joe Manchin (W.Va.), and Doug Jones (Ala.).
All six of the Democratic senators currently running for the 2020 presidential nomination voted against the bill: Cory Booker (N.J.), Sherrod Brown (Ohio), Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.), Kamala Harris (Calif.), Amy Klobuchar (Minn.), and Elizabeth Warren (Mass.), along with Independent Bernie Sanders of Vermont.

Cardinal George Pell has been found guilty of sexual offences in Australia, making him the highest-ranking Catholic figure to receive such a conviction.
Pell abused two choir boys in the rooms of a Melbourne cathedral in 1996, a jury found. He had pleaded not guilty.
The verdict was handed down in December, but it could not be reported until now due to legal reasons.
Pell is due to be sentenced on Wednesday. He has lodged an appeal against his conviction.
As Vatican treasurer, the 77-year-old cardinal is one of the Church's most powerful officials.
His trial was heard twice last year because a first jury failed to reach a verdict.
A second jury unanimously convicted him of one charge of sexually penetrating a child under 16, and four counts of committing an indecent act on a child under 16.

The Green New Deal would bankrupt the nation, according to a new study that found it would cost up to $94 trillion dollars to implement.
A study from the American Action Forum found that, in a conservative estimate, it would cost over $600,000 per household over a ten year period.
Barrasso’s office estimates it would also skyrocket electric bills by up to $3,800 per year.
Overall, the study found that the burden to taxpayers would be roughly $361,010 and $653,010 for each American household over 10 years.

“She may be America’s most famous freshman congresswoman, but in New York, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a virtual ghost,” the Post reported.
“She has no district office and no local phone number, unlike the state’s three other freshman members.
Ocasio-Cortez had claimed her deceased father’s condo in Parkchester as her residence since 2012, but the Post couldn’t find any evidence she actually spent very much time there.
Her next-door neighbor claims to have never laid eyes upon her, at least not in the building. Several local businesses, including the local supermarket, say they’ve never seen her, either. People at a local taqueria actually say that they’ve seen her — but only when she’s taking photos for the press.
“A postal worker who delivers mail to the building said that in the last 10 years, he has only seen Ocasio-Cortez intermittently, and that several months’ worth of mail regularly accumulates in the mailbox before anyone bothers to collect it. The worker said that Ocasio-Cortez and (boyfriend Riley) Roberts were the only ones getting mail at the address,” the Post reported.

The leftists Ms. Bennett approached were excited about the idea of throwing conservatives into concentration camps.
Ms. Bennett even admitted she was “pushing something radical” by wanting to put Trump supporters in concentration camps and one by the students signed the petition without hesitation.
Not only were the students she approached ecstatic to sign it, but one member of UCLA’s student government encouraged her to change the language to “diversity” and “sensitivity training” to hide their real intentions so the administration would approve it.

Cohen faces his new reality:
Former Trump attorney Michael Cohen was sentenced to 36 months in prison for lying to Congress and other charges related to his taxi medallion company in December and will report to prison on May 6th.
Today Cohen was called in to testify before a House Committee despite having a record of lying to Congress.
On Tuesday afternoon Rep. Matt Gaetz tweeted out a threat to Cohen before his testimony.
