20 February 2020 - Lunch News

On Tuesday Trump commuted the former Democrat governor’s sentence. In his first interview at the Denver Airport Rod Blagojevich thanked President Trump and noted how Democrats “don’t treat him very good.”

Former Governor Rod Blagojevich: The appropriate thing to say is I speak for Patty, for my daughters Amy and Annie and me when I express our most profound and everlasting gratitude to President Trump for doing what he did. He didn’t have to do it. This is a Republican president. I was a Democratic governor. And my fellow Democrats don’t treat him very good. So all I can say is I think this is the ending of the first act of a two act play. And tomorrow begins the second act and I think there’s a lot that has to be done in the second act.

Trump Tweet:

“They say Roger Stone lied to Congress.”

OH, I see, but so did Comey (and he also leaked classified information, for which almost everyone, other than Crooked Hillary Clinton, goes to jail for a long time), and so did Andy McCabe, who also lied to the FBI! FAIRNESS?

Demon Judge Amy Berman Jackson sentenced Roger Stone to 3 years and 4 months in prison. Jackson proceeded to punish Roger Stone for seeking Hillary Clinton’s emails — this is completely lawful behavior.

Jackson proceeds to go through the WikiLeaks DNC email timeline, asserting that Stone inserted himself into the situation by trying to reach Julian Assange over Hillary Clinton emails and Clinton Foundation.— Bill Rehkopf (@BillRehkopf) February 20, 2020Jackson didn’t even hide her bias and once again claimed the Russian collusion canard wasn’t phony.

Jackson: "The sentence is not just about punishing him (Stone), but about being a deterrent to others…there was nothing phony about the investigation."— Bill Rehkopf (@BillRehkopf) February 20, 2020

Rasmussen released polling numbers this week on what Americans think of the deep state criminals.52% of Americans say it is likely law enforcement officials broke the law in an effort to prevent Donald Trump from winning the presidency.

Only 39% believe this is not true.55% of Americans believe no deep state officials will be charged for their crimes.

Only 34% believe their will be criminal charges.

43% want the deep state criminals to serve time in prison.

Only 26% say they should be reprimanded and allowed to stay in office.

Via Rasmussen Reports: News reports highlighting thousands of signatures now advocating the removal of AG Barr & a judge insisting on sentencing Roger Stone tomorrow should perhaps be viewed in context with what voters think. This from days after IG Horowitz released his 400+ page Dec 2019 report.

Rasmussen Reports (@Rasmussen_Poll) February 19, 2020 The foreperson on Roger Stone’s jury ran for Congress as a Democrat in 2012, it was revealed Wednesday.

Tomeka Hart revealed her role on the jury in a Facebook post defending four prosecutors who quit the Stone case in protest over a revision to the Trump confidante’s recommended prison sentence.

Hart’s social media activity shows she closely followed the special counsel’s Russia investigation, and frequently posted negative stories about President Donald Trump.

Judge Richard Leon and John Podesta Over the weekend Judge Richard Leon in Washington D.C. ordered investigative reporter Matt Couch to release all of his confidential materials to the lawyers for Aaron Rich.

It's amazing there are so many high profile conservative bloggers & blue check marks who haven't said a word about this…I've had their back, Retweeted them, Wrote Articles for them, Where are they now? The Silence is deafening this week…— Matt Couch 🎙 (@RealMattCouch) February 11, 2020

Aaron Rich, the brother of Seth Rich is suing Matt Couch for his reporting on Seth who was murdered in the summer of 2016. Seth worked for the DNC at the time.Judge Richard J. Leon, is a longtime colleague and Georgetown Law School co-lecturer with John Podesta.  He is also linked to Fusion GPS. Matt Couch is probably going to file a motion to recuse Leon.

Now get this…

In a bizarre twist, Aaron Rich and the defendants JOINTLY asked Judge Leon to help arrange the deposition of Julian Assange in England.

Julian Assange is the main source who can testify how Wikileaks obtained the Podesta emails during the 2016 election.

But in a weird twist, according to our sources, Judge Leon arbitrarily refused the request — even though BOTH PARTIES requested the deposition.

This is unheard of!  It is unique in a situation where ALL PARTIES  agree that they need the testimony of a particular witness, but the judge blocks it WITHOUT EXPLANATION!

And what about Julian Assange?  He has an extradition hearing on Monday:

Barr goes after the Tech Tyrants:

Attorney General William Barr attacked Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act on Wednesday, suggesting that online platforms have not done enough to tackle sex trafficking and other problems that plague the Internet. “Online services … have evoked [legal] immunity even where they solicited or encouraged unlawful conduct, shared in illegal proceeds or helped perpetrators hide from law enforcement,” Barr added.

Attorney General Barr blamed the federal courts for granting such a “broad interpretation” of the statute. The attorney general noted that the DOJ has yet to take an official position on Section 230.

Barr said that they could not delegate their law enforcement obligations to social media companies.

“Law enforcement cannot delegate our obligations to protect the safety of the American people purely to the judgment of profit-seeking private firms,” Barr said. “We must shape the incentives for companies to create a safer environment, which is what Section 230 was originally intended to do.”

The attorney general noted that the social media landscape has become more concentrated since Congress enacted the Communications Decency Act. Barr added that in the 1990s, online platforms simply hosted forums; in contrast, Facebook, Google, and other companies also provide their own content.

“With these new tools, the line between passively hosting third-party speech and actively curating and promoting speech starts to blur,” he said.

Liberal Constitutional law scholar Alan Dershowitz said during a Breitbart News interview on Sunday that he has proof Barack Obama personally asked the FBI to investigate somebody on behalf of George Soros.

Mr. Dershowitz claimed he has a 302 FBI report showing Obama directed the FBI to investigate someone on behalf of demon Soros.“I have some information about the Obama Administration which will be disclosed in a lawsuit at some point but I’m not prepared to disclose it now about how President Obama personally asked the FBI to investigate somebody on behalf of George Soros, who was a close ally of his,” Dershowitz said.

We’ve seen this kind of White House influence on the Justice Department virtually in every Justice Department — the difference is this president is much more overt about it. He tweets about it. President Obama whispered to the Justice Department about it,” he said. “And I don’t think these former Justice Department officials would pass the ‘shoe on the other foot’ test,” Dershowitz said referring to the letter signed by 1,100 Trump-hating former DOJ officials calling for Barr to resign.Dershowitz argued that a US President has the Constitutional authority to control the Justice Department.“And let’s be clear about the Constitutionality of it. The President could make a decision to really control the Justice Department. He could decide who to prosecute and who not to prosecute,” he said.

Dershowitz said that it will be revealed that Obama asked the FBI to investigate George Soros in the “near future.”“I have in my possession an actual 302 form which documents this issue and it will at the right time come out…”

Soros was also out to destroy Xi and his social credit system:

Soros, who promotes liberal causes through his charities, said during a speech on Thursday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, that China was the wealthiest, strongest and technologically most advanced authoritarian regime in the world.“This makes Xi Jinping the most dangerous opponent of open societies,” Soros said.Soros said Xi was wielding Chinese technology companies to develop artificial intelligence and a nascent social credit system that would allow China’s “one-party state to reign supreme”.

He said U.S. President Donald Trump should drop trade disputes with other countries and focus on China, while cracking down on Chinese technology firms, such as Huawei Technologies Co Ltd [HWT.UL] and ZTE Corp, which could be used to assert authoritarian control.China has said it would create a “social credit system” by 2020 to reward or punish individuals and corporations, using technology to record various measures of financial credit, personal behavior and corporate misdeeds.

7JANUARY 25, 2019

Billionaire left-wing philanthropist George Soros told the New York Times in an interview published Friday that China is a “mortal enemy.”Though Soros has often pushed for free trade, he told the Times that China had not played by the rules and that its values were at odds with those of the “open society” to which he had devoted his political life: “I consider Xi Jinping’s China the worst threat to an open society,” he said of China’s president, repeating a declaration he made this year in Davos, Switzerland, that prompted China to retort, “We hope the relevant American can correct his attitude.”

Mr. Soros, who has long encouraged free trade as a strategy to open up otherwise closed countries, said that the strategy had not worked in China the way he had expected and that more intervention was needed.

Mr. Soros, pointing a finger in the air, called China “a mortal enemy” and said the West gave it too much of the benefit of the doubt.

“We should recognize it: It’s a different system. It’s totally opposed to ours, diametrically opposed to ours,” he said. Perhaps to qualify his words, he added: “I’m not anti-Chinese at all. I’m just anti Xi Jinping.” 25 Oct 2019

China is in a horrible position right now.

The coronavirus is literally killing its people and its economy and the Hong Kong protests started up again. What’s not being shared is the financial impact the virus is having on China and Hong Kong.In China there are many small shops where individuals run businesses and sales rely on street goers that walk in to these shops.   These shops are now closed.  The streets are empty.

China already has some major financial issues as we have shared for months.  Its GDP is half of the US’ GDP now.  Its banks face solvency issues and its localities have billions in off balance sheet assets that are underwater. China cannot afford this virus. Now, on top of that, the Hong Kong protests are back.

15:00 #SaiKungDuring Sai Kung Anti Quarantine Camp Protest, a man was violently subdued by #HKPolice. Riot police beat the man w/ batons, leaving the man on the ground with a pool of blood at his head.

China is in a crisis on many fronts.  It’s really in a terrible state.
The public is hungry for information, and getting to the truth starts with asking the right questions.  The following are 10 very important questions that the mainstream media should be asking about this very alarming coronavirus outbreak…

#1 The Washington State Department of Health has announced that 746 people are currently being “monitored” for coronavirus symptoms.  Are all 746 being quarantined, or are they being allowed to mix with the general public?  According to the agency’s official website, it is unclear what “monitoring their health” actually entails… The number of people under public health supervision includes those at risk of having been exposed to novel coronavirus who are monitoring their health under the supervision of public health officials. This number includes close contacts of laboratory confirmed cases, as well as people who have returned from China in the past 14 days and are included in federal quarantine guidance.

#2 In Hawaii, a local resident named John Fukiwara recently had very close contact with a Japanese man that later was confirmed to be infected by the coronavirus.  After contacting health officials, why was Fukiwara told to “go about his normal day-to-day routine”? That said, the Times reporter did manage to find John Fukiwara, a local resident who said he believes the Japanese man is a friend of his whom he would not identify by name. The man recently visited the island and had coffee with Fukiwara before they exchanged gifts of chocolate.

Fukiwara then contacted a local newspaper and then reached out to state health officials, with whom he offered to self-quarantine. But amazingly, state health officials told him to simply go about his normal day-to-day routine and to be sure to report any symptoms.

#3 If this coronavirus outbreak “isn’t that serious”, then why has everyone in Hubei province now been ordered to stay at home until further notice? The central Chinese province of Hubei escalated its restrictions to contain a coronavirus epidemic on the weekend, ordering the province’s residents – including 24 million people in rural areas – to stay home until further notice.

#4 If this coronavirus outbreak “isn’t that serious”, then why did Russia just ban all Chinese citizens from entering the country? Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order temporarily banning Chinese citizens from entering Russia for tourism, personal reasons or work starting Thursday, Interfax reported, citing Deputy PM Tatyana Golikova’s office.

#5 Chinese officials have just released data which show that this virus “could be 20 times more lethal than the flu”.  Why does hardly anyone in the western world know about this?… The director of a Chinese hospital at the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak became one of its victims Tuesday despite “all-out” efforts to save his life, Chinese health officials said. The death came the same day Chinese officials released data indicating the new virus could be 20 times more lethal than the flu.

#6 Why is this virus killing 15 percent of all victims that are over the age of 80?… The deadly coronavirus rapidly sweeping the world kills up to 15 per cent of patients over the age of 80, scientists have revealed.

Chinese health officials carried out the biggest ever study on the never-before-seen strain of the virus, using data from 72,000 cases.

#7 On the flip side, why are so few children being infected by this virus?… Scientists are still learning about the coronavirus outbreak that has killed 1,384 people and infected more than 64,000 in China. One of the biggest mysteries is why so few children have gotten sick.

The outbreak was first reported on December 31, but no children younger than 15 years old had been diagnosed as of January 22. A study in the New England Journal of Medicine said at the time that “children might be less likely to become infected or, if infected, may show milder symptoms” than adults.

#8 What is this coronavirus outbreak going to mean for the entire global economy?  This is something that I have written about repeatedly in recent days, but the mainstream media in the western world continues to insist that this crisis will just be a small bump in the road.

Meanwhile, over in India there are warnings that there could be “massive disruptions” and “shortages” if this crisis doesn’t end soon Pankaj R. Patel, chairman of Zydus Cadila, said prices of medicine in India have exponentially jumped in the last several weeks, thanks to much of the medicine is sourced from China.

The Indian pharmaceutical industry is experiencing massive disruptions that could face shortages starting in April if supplies aren’t replenished in the next couple weeks, Patel warned.

#9 Why did the coronavirus continue to spread like wildfire aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship even after a quarantine was initiated?

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, said the original idea to keep people safely quarantined on the ship wasn’t unreasonable. But even with the quarantine process on the ship, virus transmission still occurred.

#10 The number of confirmed cases outside of China has doubled in less than a week.  If the number of cases continues to double every week, how bad will this crisis eventually become?

ZeroHedge will answer that one:

If the number of confirmed cases outside of China doubles every week, there will be a million cases just 10 weeks from now.

And once there are a million people with coronavirus walking around all over the planet, nobody is going to be able to “contain” it.

So let us hope that the measures that authorities are currently taking to control the spread of this disease will work.

President Trump believes that this outbreak will start to fizzle when warmer weather arrives, and I truly hope that he is correct.

Because right now this outbreak is getting worse with each passing day, and we definitely aren’t getting good information about this crisis from the mainstream media. Posted by someone watching China:

I been watchingmy son was getting texts from a friend in China last month about the protests where the police were ramming cars into crowds, raping women, hanging them dead naked off the cranes upside down at the port street.Asked him what city was protesting.Son said all. Now, we do not hear from his friend by text anymore.Sitting silen, waiting to see if he makes it out of this alive.meanwhile, some are getting the information out through friends.Situation is bad.
