Like, I expected security cameras at every bend, bugged hotel rooms, armed agents every 10 feet, metal detectors out the wazoo.
What I got (who knows, maybe they’re pranking me!) is nothing.
No damn security.
Not in transport.
Not in the hotel.
Not in the event.

Here's how it's SUPPOSED to work:

What actually happened:

🔸 Rushed through the next checkpoint, didn't get shot "because there was nobody there ready to shoot him." Then HE starts shooting.
🔸 After it's over, Secret Service pulls guns and appears to fire at him - "yet when he is down on the ground, you don't see a single bullet hole in him."

Allen referred to his Christian faith several times in the document within a list of “rebuttals” to imagined objections to his actions. He also made mention of hot-button political issues like the Trump administration’s strikes on Venezuelan drug boats and the detention of illegal migrants.
“Turning the other cheek is for when you yourself are oppressed. I’m not the person raped in a detention camp. I’m not the fisherman executed without trial,” Allen wrote in the deranged document, which a relative provided to police, officials said.
“I’m not a schoolkid blown up, or a child starved, or a teenage girl abused by the many criminals in this administration. Turning the other cheek when someone else is oppressed is not Christian behavior; it is complicity in the oppressor’s crimes.”

One official told The Post that the Secret Service has interviewed Allen’s sister, who lives in Rockville, Md., and learned he often made politically radical remarks and spoke of doing “something” to fix the world’s issues.
Federal Election Commission records show that he made a onetime $25 donation to Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign in October 2024.
He also displayed a sign for a local Democrat-backed judge on his front lawn.
He was part of a group called “The Wide Awakes,” officials said, and is believed to have attended a “No Kings” protest in California, where he graduated from college and worked as a teacher.
The Wide Awakes were a Civil War-era youth politics organization that aligned with many of the beliefs of the Republican Party of the era, including opposition to slavery.

Cole Allen, the gunman from last night’s WH Correspondents Dinner, maintained an active online presence, especially on the leftwing social media platform Bluesky where he went by the handle http://ColdForce.bsky.social with multiple references violence and guns. In one post he calls President Trump the Antichrist. In another he recommends buying guns in reaction to Trump’s DOJ exploring ways to ban firearm purchases from transgenders. In one post he calls Trump a sociopathic mob boss and in another referred to him as a traitor with known connections to Putin, repeating a favorite leftwing Russian Hoax talking point. He also attacks JD Vance for advocating an end to America’s funding the war in Ukraine and for his criticisms of the Pope. He seems pretty fixated on Ukraine more generally.
