Pakistan is considering allowing vessels from other countries to transit the Strait of Hormuz under its flag, media reports suggest.
There is no official confirmation of this information. However, journalists draw this conclusion based on the fact that Iran has permitted 20 Pakistani ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
🙅 Pakistan does not have that many tankers in the Persian Gulf. Therefore, the media speculate, Pakistan may offer its flag to foreign vessels.
Such a practice is legal. "Flags of convenience" describes the shipping industry practice of registering vessels in a foreign country, typically to bypass regulatory requirements or reduce tax burdens.
Over the weekend, Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated on his social media that, under an agreement between the South Asian nation and Iran, two vessels flying the Pakistani flag could cross the Strait of Hormuz each day.

Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced on April 3 that a power generation and water desalination plant were hit by Iranian strikes early in the day.
Ministry spokesperson Fatima Abbas Jawhar Hayat said that technical and emergency teams responded immediately under contingency plans to manage the impact and maintain operations, while coordinating with security and other authorities to secure the area.
