Economic War with China

China has been waging economic warfare against the US for decades. We are just starting to fight back.

This war against China takes many forms:

Tariffs

Isolating China from other countries (see breaking message below)

Panama Canal repossession

Ending the benefits of bribery under Biden et al. (See recent sole Republican vote by Mitch McConnell)

Greenland Arctic trade route

Fentanyl motivated controls of immigration

Canada border disputes

Defense budget increase to T$

Getting Europe and Middle East over with to focus on China

Dropping interest rates to refinance American debt

Exposing the Covid lies from China

Q warned us - it was China.

Breaking from Trump:

Based on the lack of respect that China has shown to the World’s Markets, I am hereby raising the Tariff charged to China by the United States of America to 125%, effective immediately. At some point, hopefully in the near future, China will realize that the days of ripping off the U.S.A., and other Countries, is no longer sustainable or acceptable. Conversely, and based on the fact that more than 75 Countries have called Representatives of the United States, including the Departments of Commerce, Treasury, and the USTR, to negotiate a solution to the subjects being discussed relative to Trade, Trade Barriers, Tariffs, Currency Manipulation, and Non Monetary Tariffs, and that these Countries have not, at my strong suggestion, retaliated in any way, shape, or form against the United States, I have authorized a 90 day PAUSE, and a substantially lowered Reciprocal Tariff during this period, of 10%, also effective immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, gives update: WATCH LIVE: Bessent delivers statement to media at the White House driveway. also

'Almost 70 countries approached us' — Bessent

US Treasury Secretary said the review of Trump's tariffs will take up to two months, with some countries like Japan being given priority.

I’m proud to be the President for the workers, not the outsourcers; the President who stands up for Main Street, not Wall Street; who protects the middle class, not the political class; and who defends America, not trade cheaters all over the globe.

Treasury Secretary says we sell so little to China "So What?" if they increase tariffs on us....

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent responded to China’s decision to raise tariffs on American exports to 84%.

Trump seems moderate by comparison:

📹 THROWBACK: Almost 40 years ago, Donald Trump said other nations were "ripping off the United States" and laughing at them

"I was tired, and I think a lot of people are tired of watching other countries ripping off the United States... they laugh at us. Behind our backs, they laugh at us because of our own stupidity," Trump said.

💳The upcoming US DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE BUDGET WILL for the first time TOTAL $1 TRILLION, Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth stated.

Panama is part of this - Depriving China of the Belt and Road through the Americas.

China did not build this canal. China does not operate this canal. and China will not weaponize this canal. Together, we will take back the canal from China’s influence.

Great video of what is happening there and why:

🇺🇸🇵🇦 Panama and the United States will conduct joint exercises to protect the Panama Canal, said Hegseth, who is in the country to attend a conference on Central American security.

The Pentagon chief said the United States and Panama intend to take steps "to restore defense and security ties."

🪖🛳UK zones in on Indo-Pacific with MASSIVE drills

The British Ministry of Defence announced Operation Highmast, a major exercise in the region, which includes:

🔴the Royal Navy flagship HMS Prince of Wales,

🔴around 2,500 personnel from the Royal Navy and 592 from the Royal Air Force,

🔴around 900 personnel from the British Army,

🔴ships or troops from 12 other countries including Canada, Norway and Spain.

The Ministry referred to the Indo-Pacific region as "critically important for UK trade, with imports and exports in the region amounting to billions of pounds for the UK economy," thus the deployment will allow British companies to "participate in trade events during port visits."

Seems that the UK has become very worried about their trade after Trump's tariffs

...strongly welcomed President Mulino’s commitment to make Panama the first country in our hemisphere to exit the Belt and Road Initiative.

Hegseth also praised Panama’s firm action on border enforcement, commending the Mulino government for reducing illegal immigration and sealing off the notorious Darién Gap—long used as a corridor by smugglers and illegal migrants.

💸 Taiwan offers zero tariff regime to US

Taiwan local leader, Lai Ching-te, pledged to remove all trade barriers instead of creating new ones.

"Tariff negotiations can start with 'zero tariffs' between Taiwan and the US, referring to the US-Canada-Mexico free trade agreement," Lai said.

Donald Trump imposed a 32% tariff on products from Taiwan, with the exception of semiconductor exports.

Fear of Taiwan war and leaks and cryptocurrency sent overseas by his own base are the reason. Tell all reports made of political disloyalty which accused vast numbers of key personnel.

💵 China's central bank has instructed major state-owned banks to cut back on US dollar purchases, Reuters reports, quoting sources.

🇨🇳China is imposing export controls on products that use a number of rare earth metals.

The rare earth elements in question are samarium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, lutetium, scandium and yttrium, according to a joint statement from the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs. The departments said the export controls were imposed to better protect national security and interests, as well as fulfill international obligations, adding that the products related to these elements have dual-use (civilian and military) properties.

🇺🇸🇨🇳❗️The White House confirmed the increase in import duties on Chinese goods, specifying that they will take effect from early Wednesday local time, White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt said.

📍Trump is convinced that China wants an agreement with the US on tariffs, but Beijing does not know how to do this.

📍If Beijing reaches out to Washington for a deal, Trump will be 'incredibly generous’.

REPORT: Biden Illegally Hid COVID Findings that Made China Look Bad

The Biden administration reportedly concealed a bombshell military report that revealed seven Americans may have contracted COVID-19 several months before China disclosed the virus’s existence to the world.

The 2022 report, which the law required the White House to release, contradicts the previous administration’s claims that no U.S. service members got COVID during Wuhan’s 2019 World Military Games. It makes the idea that the virus came from a lab, which even the CIA acknowledges is most likely true, feel even more probable.

QUOTE: White House officials just released a lecture on why the tariffs are a game changer. Stephen Miller really understands it."Well, the announcement today is the most significant action on global trade policy that has taken place in our lifetimes. It's not even a close call. I mean, this is probably the biggest event that's happened on global trade since the very ill-fated decision that we are now reversing of knocking down all of America's trade tariffs and revenue policies that led to the offshoring and outsourcing of all industry. This is the great onshoring, the great reshoring of American jobs and wealth.”

Poll Shows Tariffs’ Popularity Despite Media’s Ire

A new poll shows Donald Trump’s popularity sitting four points higher than it did before last week’s “Liberation Day” tariff announcement.

The survey found a four-point jump in the president’s overall approval rating, fueled by a 17-point increase among black participants. When specifically asked about tariffs, more respondents backed upping the import taxes on all goods from all foreign countries than not, and over one in three (36%) said they support the administration’s 10 percent minimum policy. Only 28% opposed.

If nothing else, this story exposes the stark contrast between how America’s elites see the world and what matters to everyday working people. If you watched corporate cable media, you’d think the country was on the brink of revolt over these new tariffs. But it’s not. As usual, the Trump program is more popular than their bubbles can comprehend.

“They Charge Us, We Charge Them”: Trump Unveils New Tariffs

Wednesday was “Liberation Day” at the White House, featuring Donald Trump unveiling huge batches of new tariffs intended to “make America wealthy again.”

The president listed the new import taxes on easy-to-read charts, making clear that his policy exists in response to the rest of the world levying massive tariffs on the U.S., not as a way for his administration to unpromptedly provoke the “international community” into a trade war it didn’t ask for.

“China, 67% tariffs charged to the USA, including currency manipulation and trade barriers,” Trump said. So “at 67%, we’re going to be charging a discounted reciprocal tariff of 34%, in other words, they charge us, we charge them. [But] we charge them less. How can anybody be upset?”

That theme exists across the board. The E.U. charges America 39%, so we’ll charge them 20%. Vietnam makes us pay 90%, we hit them with 46%. And so on and so forth.

🇺🇸🇪🇺The US dollar fell against major world currencies - the euro, Japanese yen, Swiss franc, British pound and Russian ruble.

And it strengthened against the hryvnia and the Chinese yuan.

The fall against the euro is a record for 10 years - more than 2%.

China Advances Assault on Christianity

The Chinese Communist Party is reportedly preparing to implement new regulations prohibiting foreigners from preaching, sharing their faith, or establishing religious organizations without formal government approval.

Officials claim the rules will exist to protect national security, which is a common authoritarian excuse to justify the destruction of civil liberties. It’s happened plenty in the U.S., too. COVID. The Patriot Act. The list goes on.

The real motive behind the draconian move is the Chinese government’s desire to be God. If citizens have loyalty to religion, they won’t wholeheartedly worship their mortal overlords. Nothing could threaten a dictatorial regime like Xi Jinping’s more than that.

It’s obvious that the Chinese aspire to replace America as the world’s premier superpower. Stories like this remind us that they’ll be cruel masters if they succeed.

About Russia:

Russia barely does any business with America anyway, or with the EU, for that matter: nearly all trade has been sanctioned. But we are still developing, and at a decent pace: for the first quarter of 2025, growth stands at about 3%. So, no need for knee-jerk reactions. According to Lao Tzu's immortal advice, we should take a seat on the shore and wait for the enemy's corpse to float by. In this case, the decaying corpse of the EU economy.

🥴 CNN puts orange filter on Trump's face. See for yourself at the link:

New Administration Brings Never-Trump Grifter to Tears

Video of Kellyanne Conway’s old husband George breaking down crying over the Trump presidency circled the internet yesterday, revealing the Lincoln Project co-founder’s hysterical emotional state over the Orange Man being back in power.

“I’m gonna get a moist eye here…” Conway said as he did just that. “We’re all in this together and this is a fight for so much more than profits for partner, this is a fight for democracy, this is a fight for the rule of law. And some people just don’t give a s**t and that makes me angry.”

A fight for democracy. That line has grown more tired than a living room with furniture from 1985.

Conway’s rant centered around the White House’s decision to sanction law firms and attorneys “who engage in frivolous, unreasonable, and vexatious litigation against the United States” in response to judges’ orders against the administration.

Is Blowing Up a Tesla Terrorism? Not According to Mark Kelly. - Tucker

Democrat Senator and aspiring president Mark Kelly is refusing to label political violence at Tesla dealerships as domestic terrorism, instead saying that “we've got to tread lightly on the whole ‘terrorism’ word."

Is that so, Senator?

Keep in mind that this is the same Mark Kelly who whole-heartedly endorsed Joe Biden’s reelection campaign despite the dazed and confused commander in chief repeatedly throwing “the whole terrorism word” around when slandering his political opponents.

“White supremacy … is the single most dangerous terrorist threat in our homeland,” Kelly’s favorite president said in 2023. He also famously called the January 6th election justice protestors “domestic terrorists.”

So trespassing in a taxpayer-funded building is terrorism, but shooting up a Tesla dealership isn’t? Whatever they say.

New Rutgers Study Reveals Extreme Left-Wing Mental Imbalance:

-55% say murdering Trump and 48% of leftists say murdering Elon Musk partially or completely justified

-58% of leftists say destroying Tesla dealerships partially or completely justified

-“BlueSky plays a significant and predictive role in

amplifying radical ideation”

The media loves to ask, “Who radicalized MAGA?” —as if everyday Trump supporters are the real threat to this country. But maybe they should be talking about the online radicalization of bloodthirsty left-wing extremists. Because the truth is, it’s not MAGA storming campuses, burning cities, silencing dissent, and threatening people for wrongthink—it’s the Left. They’re the ones weaponizing hate, violence, and censorship, all while pretending to stand for “freedom” and their precious “democracy.”

This isn’t just some random fringe study or online rant—this is hard evidence that the real threat to this country isn’t MAGA or Trump supporters; it’s the radicalized Left.

The media built this monster, and now they’re pretending it doesn’t exist. But we see it. And we’re done staying quiet. This isn’t democracy. It’s ideological terrorism. And it needs to be crushed into dust.

The American Jacobin: How Some on the Left have Found Release in an Age of Rage

Note from Turley: Below is my column in the Hill on the rising political violence on the left. Many have found an irresistible release from both reason and responsibility in rage. A new study found more people embracing political violence. Joel Finkelstein, the lead author of the report, stated that “what was formerly taboo culturally has become acceptable… We are seeing a clear shift – glorification, increased attempts and changing norms – all converging into what we define as ‘assassination culture.’” Roughly 40 percent reportedly found it somewhat justifiable to burn a Tesla or even to kill Donald Trump. Here is a snip from the column. Go to link for more:
QUOTE: “We should replace our piece of crap Constitution.” Those words from author Elie Mystal, a regular commentator on MSNBC, are hardly surprising from someone who previously called the Constitution “trash” and urged not just the abolition of the U.S. Senate but also of “all voter registration laws.”But Mystal’s radical rhetoric is becoming mainstream on the left, as shown by his best-selling books and popular media appearances. There is a counter-constitutional movement building in law schools and across the country. And although Mystal has not advocated violence, some on the left are turning to political violence and criminal acts. It is part of the “righteous rage” that many of them see as absolving them from the basic demands not only of civility but of legality. They are part of a rising class of American Jacobins — bourgeois revolutionaries increasingly prepared to trash everything, from cars to the Constitution. The Jacobins were a radical group in France that propelled that country into the worst excesses of the French Revolution. They were largely affluent citizens, including journalists, professors, lawyers, and others who shredded existing laws and destroyed property. It would ultimately lead not only to the blood-soaked “Reign of Terror” but also to the demise of the Jacobins themselves as more radical groups turned against them.
Of course, it is not revolution on the minds of most of these individuals. It is rage.Rage is the ultimate drug. It offers a release from longstanding social norms — a license to do those things long repressed by individuals who viewed themselves as decent, law-abiding citizens.Across the country, liberals are destroying Tesla cars, torching dealerships and charging stations, and even allegedly hitting political dissenters with their cars.
Last week, affluent liberal shoppers admitted that they are shoplifting from Whole Foods to strike back at Jeff Bezos for working with the Trump administration and moving the Washington Post back to the political center. They are also enraged at Mark Zuckerberg for restoring free speech protections at Meta.

President Trump: “We’re gonna prove that all of their treasonous years of betrayal will not be forgotten. Because it’s treason. What they did is treason.”

Vance dispels Elon myth and adds he will stay on after the 6 months as advisor… DOGE will persist too.

The estimated revenue for the baseline 10% tariff on Mexican goods coming into the US is $24 billion per year.

"Pointed this out to my TDS stepmother a few nights ago and she’s still not speaking to me 🤣"

🇺🇸❗️Migrants in the US subject to deportation will be fined $998 per day if they do not leave American territory. In case of non-payment, their property will be confiscated.

According to documents reviewed by Reuters, the US presidential administration plans to take such measures.

Moreover, fines will be introduced retroactively for up to five years, which threatens penalties of more than $1 million , the agency’s source said.

Dr. Stella Immanuel: I just got notified of my appointment as the deputy cdc director. Well I’m ready to shake things up. 💪🏽. Washington DC here I come -

Unconfirmed rumor I have been hearing for some time...

About T-Bill Warfare...

Janet Yellen gets low marks from most financial experts for her term as Treasury Secretary. The Treasury Secretary's primary role is managing U.S. debt issuance, determining the mix of loan terms and debt structures to minimize interest costs. During the pandemic, interest rates were very low—below 1 percent in most instances—and instead of locking in those low rates for 10 or 30 years, she chose to mostly issue debt in short maturities, usually two years and under.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent (who is almost certain to be confirmed) will be faced with the prospect of terming out the debt to longer maturities in the event that rates rise even higher than they are currently.

This will be painful. The United States finances itself through debt auctions. As Bessent sells more bonds at 10-, 20-, and 30-year maturities, the increased supply of bonds will cause long-term interest rates to rise, which will mean that we will all be paying higher interest rates on mortgages and other long-term borrowings. But the failure to do this could be catastrophic. The debt is a national security issue—at 123 percent of gross domestic product, we are at risk of a financing squeeze, where short-term rates rise rapidly and lead to a debt spiral from which there is no escape. This is what happened to Southern Europe in 2012—short-term rates rose, leaving Portugal, Italy, Greece, and Spain no choice but to conduct a program of austerity to get interest down—but what really got interest rates down was then–European Central Bank Chairman Mario Draghi's pledge to do "whatever it takes," up to and including monetizing the debt in order to reduce interest rates.

Right now, the average maturity on U.S. debt is a bit over 70 months (5.8 years). It has been lower in the past, including the high-rate period of the 1970s, but the overall debt burden was much lower back then. Ideally, the average maturity of U.S. debt should be longer. Many market participants are worried about a return of inflation and higher interest rates, so it's imperative that the incoming Trump administration locks in 4 percent to 5 percent interest rates as soon as possible. Of course, it is possible that Bessent locks in current interest rates, and then interest rates actually decline, saddling the U.S. with even higher interest expense.

Commerce Secretary Explains Why Trump Is Tariffing Penguins

Everyone knows Donald Trump’s new import taxes are hitting China, Vietnam, and plenty of other countries that have spent decades stealing American jobs. But were you aware they apply to penguins, too?

Heard and McDonald Islands, positioned west of Australia and exclusively inhabited by those flightless birds, are among the dozens of territories facing the new 10% levies. Commerce chief Howard Lutnick explained why on Sunday, saying, “The idea is that there are no countries left off’’ the White House’s list.

“What happens is, if you leave anything off the list, the countries that try to basically arbitrage America go through those countries to us,’’ he told CBS’s Face the Nation. “Any country. Like, we had tariffs — the president put tariffs on China, right, in 2018 — and then what China started doing is they started going through other countries to America.”
