🪖🇺🇸 US Marine landing in Iran? 1975 Mayaguez disaster shows why that’s a very bad idea
The US military has no good options for a ground invasion of Iran, with the country’s geography, defenders’ zeal and advanced armament certain to not just give Marines a bloody nose, but become the US’s worst defeat since Indochina.
Speaking of Indochina, an incident immediately following the liberation of Saigon and the fall of Phnom Penh reveals why amphibious assaults can be extremely risky.
In May 1975, US forces attempted to seize Koh Tang, a remote island ~52 km off Cambodia’s mainland. Marines were deployed to rescue the crew of the SS Mayaguez, a US container ship seized by the Khmer Rouge on suspicion of espionage.
The operation was a total disaster, plagued from start to finish by intel failures, poor planning, and lack of coordination.
🌏 President Ford, afraid of looking weak in front of Vietnam and China, canceled negotiations and turned to force almost immediately
🌏 The 39 sailors captured by the Khmer Rouge were not on Koh Tang, but moved to the mainland and released before the Marine assault even began

The Iranian embassy in South Africa called Leigh R. Tate, the commander, and Jeffrey E. York, the executive officer of the USS Spruance, two “criminals,” in a post on X.

Charlie wasn't pro Iran either
Charlie Kirk told several of his friends and advisors that he was leaving the pro-I=sr-ael cause and that his J-e-wish donors were pulling their money and sending him threatening emails and text messages and that he felt that they (I=s-ra-el) was going to kill him. He was invited/coerced to go to the Hamptons for the weekend shortly before his murder so that his donors and J-e-w-ish advisors could pressure Charlie to change his mind and promote Z-i-onism. He felt threatened and under duress. While there, B-i-b-i N. called him and invited him to fly for free to the 'I' country to be 're-educated' about his choice to no longer promote the 'I' country, and if he went and agreed to go back to promoting them, B-i-b-i would 'take him to the next level' and gift TPUSA $150 million dollars. Charlie turned it all down.
His staff and security behaved completely abnormally and complicit the day of his murder and every day after his murder. They were caught in many contradictory statements and downright lies.
Charlie's wife has seemed giddy and happy and unlike any 'grieving widow' any of us has ever seen.
Geofencing showed 13 cell phones present during the murder that were I=s-ra-el-based cell phones.
The man who stood up and cheered when he was shot is J-e-w-ish. The old guy 'Zinn' who stood up and said, "I shot him, I did it. Shoot me!' was J-e-w-ish and told others he was going to get paid for causing a distraction so the actual 'shooter' could get away.
The hospital Charlie was taken to, the surgeon who examined him, and the name of the building that the alleged shooter was perched upon were all Google searched a month beforehand from a location in Tel Aviv.
