This week’s conviction of Sinaloa Cartel kingpin Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman heralds a major victory in raising awareness of the pure evil involved in Mexican drug smuggling through our porous borders. But it also reveals something about disgraced former FBI Director James Comey . . .
From "El Chapo" sexually abusing 13-year-old girls as “vitamins” to boost his libido to employing a hitman who used a tiled “kill room” made inside a house in border-city Juarez, the trial demonstrated the obvious dangers of sharing an open border with a country burdened by near-complete lawlessness.
In El Chapo’s trial, a witness alleged that the corruption of Mexican government officials reached up to the President of Mexico at the time, Enrique Pina Nieto, who allegedly received $100 million in bribes from the cartel.
Left out of El Chapo’s trial was the cartel’s financial connections to key law enforcement players inside the Obama administration. In 2012, the Justice Department accused the El Chapo-led Sinaloa Cartel of moving over $7 billion through HSBC bank locations inside Mexico. The bank’s Mexican locations allowed huge cash deposits (sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars in a single transaction), which were then accessible to the cartel at HSBC bank locations inside the United States.
Despite playing a key role in establishing the cartels inside the US, the DOJ gave HSBC a slap on the wrist–a deferred prosecution agreement–under which the bank would not be prosecuted for laundering billions of dollars in cash for the Sinaloa Cartel, as long as the bank rehabilitated its practices and stayed out of trouble for five years. Overruling career prosecutors– who wanted to prosecute the bank–US Attorney Loretta Lynch and Attorney General Eric Holder let the bank off the hook with a $1.9 billion “record fine,” which made up a small fraction of one year’s profits.
It is unknown whether then-FBI Director Robert Mueller aggressively investigated the executives and employees involved. Given the lack of convictions, and his failure to speak out against the agreement, it’s unlikely that Mueller engaged in any pre-dawn raids or SWAT-style arrests.
Ironically, Jerome Corsi, one of Mueller’s current perjury-trap targets, was one of the journalists who exposed the HSBC scandal in 2012. Now, as many of you know, Corsi is under Indictment by . . . Special Counsel Robert Mueller . . . A month after the deferred prosecution agreement was finalized, future FBI Director James Comey took a 97% pay cut from his job as general counsel at Bridgewater Associates hedge fund to join Britain-based HSBC as director of the money laundering vulnerabilities sector. The move reduced his jaw-dropping income from $6,632,616 per year to under $200,000, per financial disclosures.
(Hal Turner Remark: - It was only actually a pay "cut" if Comey was not receiving cash bribes himself, from the Cartel . . .)
With former Deputy Attorney General Comey at the helm of the troubled bank’s money laundering compliance efforts, HSBC could reassure its investors that the troubles in 2012 were over. However, Comey apparently missed the Russian money laundering that was taking place while he oversaw the vulnerabilities sector.
Less than six months after Comey took the HSBC job, President Obama nominated him to replace Robert Mueller as FBI Director. In 2014, Obama nominated Loretta Lynch to replace Eric Holder as Attorney General.
See how all of that worked? All the same players in top US Law Enforcement, shuffled around to make certain that the gigantic cash from the Sinaloa Drug Cartel, was all dealt with by the exact same people . . . . WHY? To keep a lid on who ELSE was getting massive bribes???? HSBC clients donated $81 million to the Clinton Foundation. Gee. What a coincidence.

There’s a rumor that El Chapo has spilled the beans on all the politicians he paid off. This should be good... President Trump Tweets: California has been forced to cancel the massive bullet train project after having spent and wasted many billions of dollars. They owe the Federal Government three and a half billion dollars. We want that money back now. Whole project is a “green” disaster! Stone fights back:
A court filing from Roger Stone’s attorneys documents how CNN was in possession of a sealed indictment long before the court ordered it to be released.
For weeks, we have been hearing CNN claim again and again that their presence at Stone’s home ahead of the FBI’s pre-dawn raid was a combination of “luck” and good reporting. They have since built on that fairy-tale, describing their propagandist filming of Stone’s arrest the result of watching “unusual grand jury activity” in the days leading up to January 25th.
However, we at The Gateway Pundit reported exclusively how the metadata on a draft copy of the indictment obtained by a CNN reporter and sent to Roger’s attorney after his arrest showed a save date of two days prior to the January 25th unsealing of the court documents following the Stone’s arrest. This proved that CNN illegally obtained a copy of the grand jury indictment, and now Mr. Stone’s attorneys are demanding the Mueller’s office explain themselves.
According to the filing, Stone is laying out exactly how CNN came into possession of the illegally leaked document, which lead to their “stake out” in front of Stone’s South Florida home an hour before the FBI arrived on scene. Last week, home surveillance video of the raid was released by Infowars, and showed FBI agents coordinating with CNN to position their film crew to televise Mr. Stone’s arrest.

Republicans took the first official step Wednesday toward a rules change that would allow the Senate to speed up votes on some of the president’s nominees — setting the stage for what’s likely to become a “nuclear” confrontation.
While pleading for bipartisanship, GOP senators made clear they’ll likely act no matter what on a plan to cut the amount of debate time after filibusters to two hours on most presidential nominees, down from the 30 hours currently allowed under the rules.
The 10-9 party-line vote made clear that bipartisanship is unlikely, leaving Republicans with only one option if they want to force the new rules through in time for President Trump to benefit: use the “nuclear option” to approve the changes on a majority vote.
“Make no mistake. The Republicans can change this, and will,” said Sen. Lamar Alexander, Tennessee Republican.
The issue, Republicans say, is that even though Democrats can’t unilaterally stop nominees, now that it takes just a majority vote to overcome a filibuster, they can still insist on using the full 30 hours’ debate that’s allowed even when a filibuster has been defeated.
And Democrats have done that repeatedly to Mr. Trump delaying his ability to fill hundreds of vacancies.
Democrats acknowledged things have gone off the rails, but blamed Republicans for poisoning the well when they blocked one of President Barack Obama’s prominent picks, Judge Merrick Garland, from earning a seat on the Supreme Court.
Several Democratic senators said they would be fine with giving a future president a speedier path for nominees — but won’t do it for Mr. Trump.

Budget Sneakiness by the Democrats:
The House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on a government appropriations bill Thursday evening and, with a day until the vote, lawmakers still have not received the text of the legislation.
“When one bemoans the swamp, look no further than spending a trillion dollars and jamming through legislation when none of us have even seen it,” Republican Texas Rep. Chip Roy told TheDCNF. “We should be a no on such incompetence even if it weren’t perpetuating drunken spending and failing to actually secure the border.”
“Pelosi and the Democrats promised a full 72 hours to review legislation,” a senior conservative congressional aide told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “But now we’re voting on a massive, probably thousands-page long conference report tomorrow and we haven’t even seen text the day before? This is worse than under Speaker Ryan.”
Regardless, the legislation is expected to be finalized Wednesday night, giving members of Congress less than 24 hours to read what they are voting on. A senior House Republican source confirmed to TheDCNF that no Republican lawmakers have received a copy of the legislation or seen any text as of Wednesday afternoon.
According to FOX News Majority Leader Mitch McConnell accused Democrats of adding “poison pill” provisions into the deal. One of those provisions allows small town mayors to veto any part of a wall built in their specific jurisdictions.
Trump finally gets the bill to examine Thursday late morning/noonish. Over 1,000 pages and less than a day to find all the hidden tricks in it:

Illegals locations coincide with Democrats voting strongholds:
Will he do something about the crime of selective enforcement of the law?:
On Tuesday afternoon, the Senate invoked cloture to end debate on AG nominee Bill Barr and passed in a 55-44 vote.
The Senate then voted to confirm Bill Barr as Trump’s new Attorney General on Thursday.
Bill Barr secured enough votes in the Senate Thursday — Three Democrats voted to confirm Barr, Senator Joe Manchin (WV), Senator Doug Jones (AL) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (AZ).Bill Barr will be taking over control of the Mueller investigation from Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker.
During his confirmation hearing, Bill Barr revealed he is Mueller’s best friend, so don’t expect Mueller’s inquisition to end any time soon.
