Paper Ballots and Hand Counting Only - Required in Germany:
According to Deutsche Welle, German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer says:
“In Germany, mail-in votes are checked against the voter registry as they arrive and [are] kept in a locked ballot box in a secure location until election day to prevent tampering,” DW reported.
“The ballot box for in-person votes is also locked and watched by at least three people from the electoral board to make sure no unauthorized ballots are added. When voting ends at 6 p.m. on election day, the boxes are then opened in the presence of all members of the electoral committee and observers and counted.”
Federal Returning Officer Georg Thiel, the man responsible for overseeing Germany’s elections, highlighted that the country does not use voting machines, but instead opts for paper ballots that are hand-counted.
“We have no voting machines — at the end of the day, it’s the ballot paper that gets counted,” he added.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell urged President Joe Biden to end Tracy Stone-Manning’s nomination for Bureau of Land Management director “immediately” on Friday over concerns regarding her connection to an eco-terrorism plot.
“We now know that President Biden’s nominee to run the Bureau of Land Management lied to the Senate about her alleged participation in eco-terrorism,” McConnell said in a statement to Fox News.
“Ms. Stone-Manning has made false and misleading statements in a sworn statement to the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources (Committee) regarding her activities associated with an eco-terrorist cell whose tree spiking in Idaho’s Clearwater National Forest in 1989 put lives at risk,” the senators wrote.

Stone-Manning worked with this organization while she attended the University of Montana in Missoula, the outlet reported. During that time, she was involved in an illegal tree spiking case.

The Capitol building evacuation was for a pipe bomb threat. Not the protestors.

U.S. Capitol Police learned of the discovery of two pipe bombs on Capitol Hill around the same time, just before 1 p.m. ET that Wednesday. Capitol Police responded to one bomb discovered by an RNC staff member at the organization’s office, just a few blocks from the Capitol. Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a second pipe bomb that was spotted outside the nearby Democratic National Committee headquarters. Each department sent officers to respond, hurting the Capitol Police’s ability to secure the Capitol since MPD was called to the Capitol minutes after the bombs were discovered.
“That resulted in the evacuation of two congressional buildings, the Cannon House Office Building, as well as one of the Library of Congress buildings. So it took extensive resources,” then-Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund said in a joint hearing before the Senate Rules Committee and Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Tuesday afternoon.
“So the assault on the Capitol is not what caused the evacuations of those buildings? The discovery of those pipe bombs is what caused the evacuations of those?” asked Republican Oklahoma Sen. James Lankford.

Washington, DC -- As news that one of the dangerous January 6 insurrectionists had a Lego Capitol taken from his home as evidence, further news has leaked that the FBI will likely charge many of his Lego mini-figures with weapons and conspiracy charges.
An unknown number of mini-figures was taken into custody. At least four were reportedly cooperating with law enforcement and may have been long-time FBI informants.
Neighbors report a small firefight had erupted from the basement of the house when officers tried to exercise a search warrant. Fred Fredrickson lives behind the house and claims to have witnessed the entire operation.
"I heard a knocking on his door at about 2 am, but they had the bust down the door because he wasn't home, y'know? Then I clearly heard them from the basement sayin’ 'I see you hiding in that fully constructed Roman Coliseum - come out with your little plastic gripper-things up!' Then I hear 'em going 'pew pew pew' and making shooting sounds with his mouth," he said.
