A Republican former legislator in Arkansas was shot and died. Reports are that she was working with an informant in the DHS/Child Protective Services in Arkansas regarding missing funds and perhaps more. Another Republican former legislator in Texas was shot and killed. He had in the past sponsored a bill calling for the death penalty for pedophiles.

Authorities were on a frantic search to find Detective Joseph Calabrese, after his car was found abandoned near Plumb Beach in Brooklyn. Unfortunately, his body was found near the water (in some bushes). He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was last seen early Thursday morning at Maimonides Medical Center at around 2:00AM after visiting his wife who had undergone a small surgical procedure. She was expected to be released on Thursday morning.
Calabrese, 58, was assigned to the Brooklyn South Homicide Squad. Coworkers became concerned after he never arrived for work on Thursday. His suicide has left his friends, family and coworkers in shock.
The Department is in shock as this suicide comes just hours after NYPD Chief Steven Silks shot and killed himself – just days before his scheduled retirement.

"Norman police are investigating after former state Sen. Jonathan Nichols was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound inside his home.
Police confirmed in a press release Thursday they discovered the body of the 53-year-old inside his west Norman home after receiving a call Wednesday night of an individual with a gunshot wound.
Police say the case remains under investigation and that they are working with the medical examiner's office to determine the exact cause and manner of his death.
Nichols is a former Republican state senator from Norman who served from 2000 to 2012. After that he took staff positions with the state House, Senate and the University of Oklahoma."

Naasón Joaquín García, the head of La Luz Del Mundo, was charged Tuesday along with a group of other affiliates of the international religious organization for disturbing crimes against three girls and a woman, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra announced.
García, 50, and three co-defendants — Alondra Ocampo, Azalea Rangel Melendez and Susana Medina Oaxaca — allegedly committed 26 felonies in Los Angeles County between 2015 and 2018 while leading La Luz Del Mundo, officials said.
Prosecutors charge that García and his co-defendants allegedly coerced minors into performing sexual acts by telling them that if they went against any of García’s desires or wishes as “the Apostle,” they were defying God.

However, they appear to be utterly incapable and unconcerned with doing so. And, in fact, they appear to be promoting it through the algorithm.

Alabama has had enough of the pedophilia and is doing something about it:
The Alabama state legislature has sent a bill to Gov. Kay Ivey that proposes sex offenders convicted of abusing children age 13 and under be required to undergo chemical castration before leaving prison.
The bill, known as HB379, would require the individual to pay for the injection but that a person will not be denied parole because of inability to pay the cost of the treatment.
"Under existing law, a person convicted of a sex offense involving a child which constitutes a Class A or B felony is not eligible for parole. This bill would provide that a person convicted of a sex offense involving a person under the age of 13 years who is eligible for parole, as a condition of parole, shall be required to undergo chemical castration treatment in addition to any other penalty or condition prescribed by law," the bill reads.
The bill applies to convicted offenders over the age 21, State Representative Steve Hurst, the Republican who introduced the bill to the Legislature, told WIAT-TV.
If a criminal refuses to take the treatment "as a condition of parole" then it would be considered a parole violation and the individual would be ordered to return to jail.

Cancelling funding for Fetal Tissue Research:
President Donald Trump is canceling a contract that provides government funding to the University of California, San Francisco for research that issues fetal tissue harvested from elective abortions.
The Trump administration first focused its sights on the contract this past September, with the National Institute of Health (NIH) warning UCSF that its $2 million annual contract for fetal tissue research would be curtailed to 90 days and possibly canceled altogether.
Senior administration officials told The Daily Caller that the contract will be officially terminated Wednesday.

The United States is the piggybank. It has all the money that others want to take from us, but they’re not taking it so easy anymore. It’s a lot different,” Trump said.
Talks between U.S. and Mexican officials continue in Washington, but Trump warned that “Something pretty dramatic could happen with Mexico, the tariffs go on — and I mean it, too. And I’m very happy with it. I think a lot of progress was made yesterday, but we have to make a lot of progress.”

After both the United States and Mexico claimed to have had a 'very good discussion' to avert President Trump's tariff threat - and the US weighing a delay over concerns that both sides wouldn't be able to reach an agreement on all the measures Mexico would need to take to avert them, Mexico showed yet another act of good faith on Thursday - freezing the bank accounts of 26 alleged human traffickers.
The ministry's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) said in a statement it froze the accounts due to "probable links with human trafficking and illegal aid to migrant caravans."
The FIU added that it would present the cases to the Attorney General's office. -Reuters
Negotiators from both countries are discussing a new framework that would "dramatically increase Mexico's immigration enforcement efforts" according to the Washington Post.
Mexican officials have pledged to deploy 6,000 National Guard troops to the country's southern border with Guatemala.
The Mexican official and the U.S. official said the countries are negotiating a sweeping plan to overhaul asylum rules across the region, a move that would require Central Americans to seek refuge in the first foreign country they set foot upon after fleeing their homeland.
Under such a plan, the United States would swiftly deport Guatemalan asylum seekers who set foot on U.S. soil to Mexico. And the United States would send Honduran and Salvadoran asylum applicants to Guatemala, whose government held talks with acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan last week. -Washington Post
In addition to the deployment of the National Guard, Mexico has promised to build more migrant detention centers and checkpoints to catch and deter northbound Central Americans.

Vice President Mike Pence and other top administration officials met Wednesday with Mexico’s top diplomat as both sides try to avert the potentially crippling economic consequences of President Trump’s threat to impose tariffs on all Mexican imports.
Mr. Trump has vowed to impose a 5 percent tariff on all goods from Mexico beginning Monday and to increase the tax to 25 percent by October if Mexico does not prevent migrants from illegally entering the United States. On Tuesday, Mr. Trump said that it was “more likely that the tariffs” would be imposed. But on Wednesday, the president said he believed Mexico was ready to make a deal to prevent the tariffs from going into effect.
”Mexico, you know, wants to make a deal,” Mr. Trump said during a trip to Ireland. “They have their entire delegation right now going over to probably the White House location to negotiate with our people.”

Mitch McConnell - Senate Majority Leader - has Direct Financial ties to China:
Trump Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao “repeatedly used her connections and celebrity status in China to boost the profile of [her family’s shipping] company, which benefits handsomely from the expansive industrial policies in Beijing that are at the heart of diplomatic tensions with the United States,” according to a New York Times exposé on Monday that builds off research from Peter Schweizer’s bestselling book Secret Empires.
Chao, who is also the wife of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), has been the subject of intense criticism over the years due to the deep financial ties between her family’s shipping business and China’s communist regime.
Chao’s father, James Chao, is the owner of Foremost Group, a shipping company that has done substantial business with the state-owned China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) and has received loan guarantees worth hundreds of millions of dollars from China’s state-owned bank.
Chao and her husband have directly benefited from the Chao family business. As Schweizer recounts in Secret Empires, Chao’s father—and Mitch McConnell’s father-in-law—gave the Washington power couple a “gift” (that is the term used on McConnell’s financial disclosure forms to report this transaction) of between $5 to $25 million in 2008. According to the New York Post, the “gift” had a major impact on the couple’s net worth: “In 2004, current Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his wife, current U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, had an average net worth of $3.1 million. Ten years later, that number had increased to somewhere between $9.2 million and $36.5 million.”
Schweizer reports that the Chinese government’s CSSC Holdings, Ltd.—the financial arm of the Chinese government’s military contractor CSSC—named James Chao to its board. CSSC Holdings also added Elaine Chao’s sister Angela Chao to its board as well. The Times notes that these board memberships are “a rarity for foreigners.”
“The fact that both the father-in-law and sister-in-law of Senator McConnell sat on the board of CSSC Holdings is highly unusual, to say the least,” writes Schweizer. “One could say it is unprecedented in American political history. In general, CSSC is a sensitive, critical asset of the Chinese government and operates under a veil of privacy and secrecy.”
Indeed, as the New York Post confirmed, “The main goal of the CSSC is to strengthen the Chinese military.”
