There will be an announcement at 1:30 pm EST from President Trump regarding the Shutdown. Rumor has it that it is a temporary reprieve, and that no wall funds are involved.
My guess is that it is temporary until just after the 29th, so the SOTU can go on as planned in the House of Representatives, and then it kicks right back in. That would seriously mess up the plans by MoveOn (see below):

STATE DEPARTMENT — The U.S. State Department ordered nonessential personnel to leave Venezuela, but is not closing its embassy in Caracas, the department said Thursday.
On Wednesday, Venezuela's disputed president Nicolas Maduro said he was ending diplomatic relations with the United States in response to President Donald Trump's announcement that the U.S. was officially recognizing National Assembly President Juan Guaido as Venezuela's interim leader.
Maduro ordered U.S. diplomats to leave within 72 hours. U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, however, said Maduro no longer has the authority to do so.
The U.S. State department said it was evacuating non-emergency staff for security reasons, and that U.S. citizens should "strongly consider" leaving the country.

Dream Team of lawyers to defend the Catholic teens:
A team of very high profile lawyers are joining together to fight for justice for the Covington Catholic High School students who were ruthlessly attacked by the media following a school trip to DC for the March for Life.
According to lawyer Robert Barnes, who is representing several of the families, the team will include at least five lawyers from five different law firms — all with a record of high profile civil cases.
When asked about who exactly they are planning to sue out of the hundreds of celebrities and journalists who defamed these boys, Barnes confirmed that former CNN host Reza Aslan, actor Michael Rapaport and ABC News senior political analyst anchor Matthew Dowd are on the list, “for starters.”
Aslan, who was fired from CNN for calling President Donald Trump a “piece of sh-t” on Twitter, apparently has not learned his lesson. On Sunday, 46-year-old Aslan tweeted a photo of Sandmann asking, “have you ever seen a more punchable face than this kid’s?”
Twitter determined that this violent tweet about a minor did not violate their terms of service.
Rapaport ruthlessly attacked the boys, many as young as 14-years-old, calling them “Catholic school teenage f-ckboys,” “MAGA hat-wearing sh-t stains,” “little Kentucky Catholic school c-cksuckers,” and more in a video posted to Twitter.
On Monday, Dowd called on his followers and colleagues “not let these kids, their parents, and their school off the hook. Regardless of what led up to this, this is awful.” Despite the story having been debunked, Dowd continued to double down.
The kids certainly aren’t “off the hook” for smiling through being bullied by adults — as their school has had over 100 serious threats to the point where Homeland Security had to get involved.

New Dem. Rep. Ilhan Omar Contacted a Judge To Get Looser Sentence for ISIS Recruits
Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota has had a smash-up couple of weeks.
She’s made anti-Semitic remarks. She supports BDS. She’s defended the noxious Black Hebrew Israelites against the Covington Catholic kids, saying that the notoriously racist sect were actually the victims at the March to Life brouhaha.
However, it’s not like we shouldn’t have predicted it. Right after she was elected as a Minnesota state legislator, she actually pushed a judge for lenient sentences for nine men who tried to join the Islamic State group, arguing that the case could be a landmark in a “restorative approach to justice” and saying that his “ruling can set a precedent and has the potential to be a landmark case in addressing extremism.”
