AP reported: Notre Dame spokesman Andre Finot told French media the entire wooden interior of the building is ablaze and will burn: “Everything is burning, nothing will remain from the frame.”
Also according to the Associated Press, firefighters and other first responders are working to salvage art and other priceless pieces stored inside of Notre Dame.
Paris officials are claiming the fire may have been an accident stemming from a construction project, however many are skeptical of that narrative.
Reminder, ISIS has been targeting France for years.

According to CNN, Laurent Nunez, secretary to interior minister told reporters that both towers of Notre Dame “are safe.”
“The fire is now weaker. We are now in a time of cooling but both towers of the cathedral are safe. We’re still working to save the cathedral’s work of arts,” Nunez told reporters at the scene.
One firefighter has been seriously injured, said Paris Fire Brigade commander general Jean-Claude Gallet. Gallet said that two-thirds of the roof has been destroyed.
This is like the Crown Jewels would be in England. It is the most precious artifact/holy relic.

On Friday Islamic terrorists Inez Madani was jailed for eight years for her attempted car bombing outside of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
Madani was wounded with a knife in the belly of a police officer during the arrest in 2016.
On Friday she was jailed for eight years in the attempted attack.
The Journal.ie reported:
ONE OF THREE women allegedly involved in a foiled plot in 2016 to blow up a car packed with gas canisters near the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris was today sentenced to eight years in prison by a French court for earlier offences. … She used different pseudonyms on social networks, pretending for example to be Abu Souleymane, a jihadist returned from Raqa to carry out attacks in France.

The probable attack was uncovered in Paris on Sunday morning, at about 7 a.m., but the average citizen did not hear about it until Wednesday when French news outlets reported it as the confiscation of a car filled with seven propane tanks on a street near Notre Dame cathedral.
No detonators or other explosive devices were found inside, but documents in Arabic were.
The vehicle, a Peugeot 607, raised suspicions in the 5th arrondissement because it had been parked improperly with its lights still on and the license plates had been removed, possibly because the car had been listed as stolen.

This report in March shows a recent upswing in vandalism against Catholic Churches in France, including arson:
At least 10 incidents of vandalism and desecration of Catholic churches have been reported across France since the beginning of February, The Express UK reported.
Catholic churches in France are being targeted with arson attacks, vandalism, desecration of holy statues, and the destruction of the Eucharist.
In one particular case, miscreants used human excrement to draw a cross on the wall in February.
The Church of St. Sulpice in Paris, where the Da Vinci Code movie was filmed, was set ablaze after midday mass last Sunday (17 March). Firefighters and police have confirmed the incident as an arson attack.
On 4 February, a 19th century statue statue of the Virgin Mary was found smashed on the ground at St Nicholas Catholic Church in Houilles, Yvelines. The church has reported three incidents within 10 days. In another incident, a cross was also found thrown on the floor by vandals.
At Saint-Alain Cathedral in Lavaur in south-central France , statues and crosses were smashed and an altar cloth was burned earlier this month. A statue of Christ on a cross was also interfered with, as vandals twisted one of the arms to make it appear that Jesus was dabbing.
On 6 February, miscreants at Notre-Dame des Enfants (Our Lady of the Children) church in Nimes, vandals broke into the tabernacle and scattered altar hosts on the ground.
During the attack, vandals used human excrement to draw a cross on the wall in February. Consecrated hosts of unleavened bread, which Catholics believe is the body of Jesus Christ, were found scattered outside with rubbish.
Prime Minister of France Edouard Phillipe has condemned the attacks.
“In one week, in France, 5 degraded churches. In our secular Republic, places of worship are respected. Such acts shock me and must be unanimously condemned. I will tell the bishops of France at the meeting of the forum of dialogue with the Catholic Church,” he said.
A dozen Catholic churches have been desecrated across France over the period of one week in an egregious case of anti-Christian vandalism.
The recent spate of church profanations has puzzled both police and ecclesiastical leaders, who have mostly remained silent as the violations have spread up and down France.
Last Sunday, marauders set fire to the church of Saint-Sulpice — one of Paris’ largest and most important churches — shortly after the twelve-o’clock Mass.
Catholic Church in NYC also burned:
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A fire forced an iconic church in upper Manhattan to hold Palm Sunday services outdoors.
Parishioners moved to the lawn of the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in Morningside Heights on Sunday morning.
Smoke filled the cathedral shortly after 10 a.m. after a fire started in the basement, officials said.
No one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
